Tasks

-Prepare construction cost estimates and specifications -Conduct bridge inspections and prepare detailed reports -Perform bridge load ratings and develop rating documentation -Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges -Design bridges for new construction, rehabilitation, and replacement projects (highway, railroad, pedestrian) -Inspection and Maintenance of Ancillary Highway Structures -Coordinate with CAD designers to produce construction plans -Develop cost proposals and work-hour estimates

Working in collaborative environment provides exposure to all phases of the design and inspection process and allows for increased responsibility and career development. -Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (or equivalent) -Completion of one or moreNHI courses: Safety Inspection of In-Service BridgesBridge Inspection Refresher TrainingFracture Critical Inspection Techniques for Steel BridgesTunnel Safety InspectionInspection and Maintenance of Ancillary Highway Structures -NBIS-qualified Team Leader with structural design experience -Proficiency with engineering software and willingness to learn new tools -Bridge Inspection Refresher Training -Experience coordinating with contractors, clients, and project teams -Familiarity with regional bridge design, rating, and inspection programs -Fracture Critical Inspection Techniques for Steel Bridges -Professional Engineer (PE) license in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, or other states -Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively
