The Role

Overview

Install, wire, and service residential/commercial solar PV systems with safety and code compliance.

Tasks

-Interpret site plans and electrical schematics for accurate installations. -Maintain clean, safe job sites in compliance with OSHA and company standards. -Complete required documentation for inspections and project records. -Install and wire residential solar PV systems, including panels, inverters, and monitoring equipment. -Troubleshoot and resolve system issues related to wiring, inverters, or performance. -A background check will be performed on all new hires. -Perform electrical upgrades or modifications as needed for solar integration. -Test and commission systems to ensure safe, efficient operation. -Complete solar projects in a timely manner. -Collaborate with crew leads and project teams to complete installations on schedule. -Communicate effectively with homeowners to explain system function and answer questions. -Ensure all work complies with NEC, local codes, and utility requirements.

What You Bring

-Knowledge of the National Electrical Code and local electrical codes. -A valid US driver’s license is required. The driver's license must be active for a minimum of 4 years. -Familiarity with solar inverters and monitoring systems. -Comfortable working on rooftops and in varying weather conditions. -Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and site plans. -Prior experience in electrical work in the solar industry. -1+ years in the solar industry, preferred but not required. -Experience in troubleshooting PV system performance issues. -OSHA 10 certification or be able to obtain. -Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate with internal and external groups. -Strong commitment to job site safety and OSHA standards. -Ability to lift 50+ lbs and safely use hand/power tools. -Ability to think critically, problem solve, and work in a fast-paced environment. -Willingness to travel within the state as needed. -A clean driving record is required (no more than one moving violation in the past year and no more than 2 moving violations in the past 4 years). -Knowledge with a wide range of residential solar products (inverters, modules, etc.) -Proficient in residential wiring, conduit bending, and panel upgrades. -Valid state-issued electrician license.
