Tasks

-Maintain and enhance internal controls, accounting policies, and documentation to ensure compliance with GAAP and corporate governance standards. -Ensure audit readiness and timely completion of audit deliverables. -Prepare and review internal financial statements and reports; ensure alignment between the GL, sub-ledgers, and reporting systems. -Collaborate closely with other accounting teams to ensure alignment, accuracy, and consistency across all financial processes and reporting. -Manage and continuously improve the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant financial results. -Research accounting issues, assess implications of accounting standards, and develop well-documented conclusions and memos that support the company’s accounting treatment and policy decisions. -Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team focused on accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement. -Oversee the firm’s general ledger accounting, including journal entries and account reconciliations.

What You Bring

-Proficiency with ERP and reporting systems. -10+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including at least 5 years in leadership. -Experience in AEC, construction, or professional services industries preferred. -Proven ability to lead multi-entity accounting operations and close processes. -Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with advanced Excel and data analysis capabilities. -Public accounting experience required, preferably with exposure to audits and technical accounting. -Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, CPA preferred. -Strategic mindset with operational discipline and attention to detail. -Excellent communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams. -Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
