The Role

Overview

Oversee and coordinate street lighting maintenance and developer projects in Kent.

Tasks

-Liaise with Kent County Council engineers, developers, and internal teams to plan and deliver works programs. -Provide technical guidance and mentoring to operatives. -Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and quality standards. -Ensure materials, plant, and equipment are efficiently utilised and maintained. -Promote and enforce safe working practices, including carrying out toolbox talks and safety briefings. -Manage and record progress, support the administrators with compensation events using Confirm. -Support the approval and adoption process for developer works, including site inspections, defect management, and certification. -Schedule, allocate, and monitor workloads for operatives and subcontractors to achieve daily and weekly targets. -Supervise and coordinate planned street lighting and developer works, including column, signpost, and bollard replacements. -Carry out site inspections, quality checks, and audits to ensure compliance with contract specifications and design drawings.

What You Bring

-SMSTS or SSSTS (desirable). -Current ECS / CSCS card. -NRSWA Supervisor accreditation (essential). -G39 certification (essential). -NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Installation or Highways Electrical Work. (desirable) -Full UK Driving Licence.
