Overview
Design and detail equipment layouts using Revit for government manufacturing projects.

Tasks
-Responsible for the revisions of project drawings, plot files and project-related information are stored in a logical and well-structured manner. -Complies with all policies and standards. -Perform projects tasks and assignments within budgeted hours and deadlines. -Complete and review design drawings for quality assurance within scope, budget and schedule. -Perform a variety of assignments using prescribed methods and standard techniques including drawing sequence and presentation, incorporating various system components, and refining rough sketches. Follow all company, client and project design and drafting standards. -Responsible for clear and concise written and verbal communications, as it relates to the project client coordination. -Plan and develop drawings for production work including design equipment layouts of substantial variety and complexity. -Execute basic formulas, principles and practices, and use acquired knowledge of fundamental concepts and practices. -Create equipment 3D models from manufacturer's cut sheets. -Execute changes to designs or sketches and redlines or mark-ups on ongoing projects. -Produce complete project deliverable drawings and models from verbal or written descriptions from the design engineer and/or client.

What You Bring
-Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy security clearance. -Ability to work collaboratively with others (Project Managers, Engineers and Designers) in a multi-disciplined project team environment to resolve design or drawing issues as appropriate and to accomplish objectives. -Bachelor's Degree in drafting technology or related field and 2 years of related experience OR Associate's Degree and 3 years of related experience OR High School Diploma/GED and 4 years of progressive detailing and design experience. -Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, analytical and problem-solving skills. -Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without requiring future sponsorship for employment visa status. -Ability to utilize both 2D and 3D applications to prepare engineering drawings. -Basic knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, Access and Outlook. -Strong understanding of design software such as Revit and AutoCAD, to develop the design deliverables (Revit experience preferred). Ability to learn and effectively utilize new design software programs. -Basic knowledge in design, calculations and design systems. -Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
