Tasks

-Stay updated on pharmacy laws and complete continuing education for license renewal. -Maintain quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and proper disposal of hazardous waste drugs. -Supervise and guide staff, providing performance reviews, goal development, and mentoring. -Identify and report adverse events and product complaints in accordance with pharmacy regulations. -Detect therapeutic incompatibilities and communicate with prescribers to confirm dosing and administration. -Provide subject matter expertise to program staff and clients. -Oversee pharmacy technician work by reviewing and interpreting physician orders to ensure correct drug dispensing. -Collaborate with call center and other program staff for effective operations. -Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to company policies. -Counsel patients on medication usage, potential adverse events, and strategies to minimize risks. -Data entry and prescription review -Conduct outreach and follow-up counseling as required by regulatory agencies. -Ensure compliance with all applicable program guidelines.

What You Bring

-Proficient in basic computer programs -Ability to handle multiple requests and ensure timely medication order fulfillment -B.S. Pharm degree required; PharmD preferred -Proficiency in pharmacy and pharmacology -Experience in a call center or high-volume environment -Knowledge of FDA health regulations -Strong customer service and communication skills -Current and valid Pharmacist state license in good standing -Minimum of 1-2 years of professional experience as a Pharmacist in a retail or specialty pharmacy setting
