Program robotics for blasting & painting, create/optimize paths, test & maintain.

Tasks
-Monitor operations and adjust parameters to achieve required results. -Provide training for candidates selected by the Group Painting Manager to perform the above duties when required. -Export and transfer finished programs to production robots. -Ensure compliance with HSES policies and procedures as applicable. -Ensure the activities meet the forecasted schedule without any delay and are safely executed. -Conduct test runs to verify programming accuracy. -Create, optimize, and simulate robot paths offline, focusing on full coverage, efficiency, and quality. -Define tool data, process parameters, and surface types in the software. -Cooperate closely with blasters, technicians, the engineering team, and quality inspectors to ensure safety, efficiency, and product quality. -Ensure compliance with all applicable information security policies and procedures. -Monitor the robot process during operation and respond to deviations or errors. -Ensure the readiness of the blasting robot as per the equipment readiness checklist. -Collaborate with robot operators to ensure seamless program execution. -Test and fine-tune robot programs directly on the production line. -Import 3D CAD data of structure pieces into the offline programming system.

What You Bring
Minimum grade 12th or equivalent with computer skills and robotics-specific competencies to operate software programs for robots, preferred to have a Diploma or ITI in computer programming. Ability to read and understand technical instructions. Minimum 3 years’ blasting experience in marine / protective. Technical education in automation, mechatronics, mechanical engineering, robotics, or similar experience. Strong technical understanding and problem-solving skills. Programming language experience in Python, C/C++, Arduino or similar. Previous experience in blasting or automated machinery operation. English language skills, suitable for professional correspondence and documentation. Good or excellent knowledge of computers and/or 3D-modelling software. Understanding of surface treatment processes is a plus.
