Tasks

This role will primarily support the Greenville, South Carolina factory, focusing on machining, assembly, and integration of components that make up a gas turbine (GT). The engineer will deliver high-quality, practical solutions to manufacturing challenges and will play a key role in defect reduction, qualifications, nonconformance analysis, and continuous process improvement. We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to provide engineering support for unit assembly operations involving gas turbines. -Conduct technical reviews and risk assessments for component, assembly, and system-level designs. -Perform hand calculations, CAD modeling, and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to support hardware dispositions, redesigns, and drawing revisions for improved manufacturability. -Support factory testing initiatives, including the review of inspection and test results. -Provide design and engineering support for assembly operations to address deviant hardware, prevent repeat issues, and improve manufacturing quality. -Develop innovative solutions to assembly, design, and manufacturing challenges. -Evaluate assembly-level clearances across the entire gas turbine. -Maintain technical rigor, accuracy, and consistency across all design and post-design activities. -Drive improvements to engineering methods, design standards, and manufacturing processes using Lean principles. -Collaborate closely with supply chain, quality, and cross-functional engineering teams to ensure design integrity and production excellence. -Apply standard work processes and develop design templates to address recurring technical issues.

What You Bring

-Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. -Knowledge of applicable industry standards and best practices. -Minimum of 2 years of engineering experience (industry agnostic) -Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills. -Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. -Proficiency in CAD software and familiarity with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools.
