Tasks

Prepare and deliver periodic training on marketing compliance expectations for internal teams. Conduct preliminary reviews of employee participation in private placements or outside investments to ensure compliance with firm policy. The Director, Compliance will work closely with the Chief Compliance Officer to support key components of Tishman Speyer’s global compliance program, with a heavy focus on the review of U.S. marketing materials. This individual will serve as a subject matter expert -- providing practical, business-oriented compliance guidance across multiple functions. Verify that all materials meet regulatory standards under the Advisers Act, with particular attention to the Marketing Rule, performance advertising, case study usage, and required disclosures. Assist with regulatory filings, exam readiness, and responses to information requests. Participate in special projects and support broader compliance initiatives. Maintain templates, required disclosure language, and documentation of the review process. Track updates to the marketing rule, industry guidance, and relevant regulatory developments; help translate them into practical requirements for business partners. Serve as the central reviewer for US marketing and investor-facing materials, including presentations, pitchbooks, PPM excerpts, case studies, fact sheets, website content, and other external communications. Help maintain compliance calendars and documentation. Support day-to-day administration of the firm’s Code of Ethics, including review of personal trading requests and monitoring for potential issues. Review quarterly and annual certifications, employee attestations, and documentation of Code of Ethics compliance. Review employee private investment requests, outside business activity disclosures, and potential conflicts and escalate as appropriate. Coordinate with investment teams to ensure materials are accurate, consistent, and updated promptly. Assist in maintaining and enhancing marketing-related compliance policies and procedures. Help maintain and update the firm’s restricted and watch lists based on investment activity, NDAs and potential MNPI concerns.

What You Bring

Strong working knowledge of the Advisers Act, especially the Marketing Rule and performance advertising requirements. *Onsite presence is required for this position. 3–6+ years of regulatory compliance experience in investment management, preferably at a private equity, real estate adviser or government agency. Bachelor’s degree required, J.D. preferred Exceptional attention to detail, strong writing skills, and the ability to identify issues quickly and clearly. The ideal candidate is an independent, proactive professional with strong analytical, risk mitigation, and judgment skills, capable of balancing commercial objectives with regulatory integrity. This role requires excellent communication and relationship management skills to effectively partner with senior leadership, investment teams, and employees at all levels of the organization. Strong organization and project-management skills; ability to handle high volumes of material with tight timelines. Experience reviewing marketing materials or supporting investor relations compliance processes. Collaborative and proactive team member with the confidence to interact with business partners. Familiarity with Code of Ethics programs, personal trading systems, conflicts reviews, and private placement oversight.

Benefits

The base compensation range for this role is $140,000- $170,000. This role is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, as well as access to our comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, life and disability insurance, 401(k) plan (with matching contributions), wellness benefits and all other benefits afforded to full-time Tishman Speyer employees. This base range reflects a number of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skill sets, and/or licensure required of an individual in this particular role. The base range is also specific to members of Tishman Speyer’s New York team, as we've considered factors specific to this geography.
