Simulate and analyze building airflow, ventilation, and thermal performance using CFD.
-Collaborate with architects and MEP engineers to integrate simulation feedback. -Assist in developing project objectives, goals, and documentation policies. -Analyze HVAC system performance and airflow patterns within built environments. -Run CFD simulations for building ventilation, thermal comfort, and air quality. -Prepare detailed engineering reports and narratives. -Document setup parameters, simulation results, and recommendations.
-Knowledge of building systems, HVAC principles, and ASHRAE standards -Licensed Professional Engineer. -Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering -2+ years of experience with CFD analysis related to HVAC design -5+ years of experience in a MEP or integrated design firm working on commercial/public projects, including the design of HVAC, plumbing and fire protection building systems on complex projects. -Familiarity with CFD tools (ANSYS Fluent, Autodesk CFD, SimScale, or similar) -Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. -Experience and interest in sustainable building design. -Experience with BIM (e.g. Autodesk Revit MEP) work flow. -LEED Accredited Professional and previous experience participating in the LEED or other green rating system process.
