-General Operators Certificate -Certificate of Proficiency as a Ship Security Officer -Experience as a Captain of a tanker vessel equal to or greater than 3000 GRT or experience on a similar sized vessel with suitable experience as a First Mate. -Tanker Experience -Experience in carriage of Bitumen Asphalt is an asset -Eligible to enter the US -Dual Fuel LNG training as per IGF Code Advanced -Bridge Resource Management training -Pilotage Certificates PM2 for Cornwall District District 1 LO District District 2 -SEN II ECDIS Generic -Specialized Oil Tanker Training certificate of proficiency with Transport Canada Level 2 Endorsement. -A thorough understating and experience with various marine industry regulations including ISM code -A valid Passport and Marine Medical -Captains must hold the following minimum qualifications subject to variance in the vessels safe manning documents Master Mariner licenseMarine Emergency Duties with respect to STCW basic safety -MED training with respect to proficiency in survival craft and rescue boats other than fast rescue boats MED in advanced firefighting
