As Eastlight’s lead expert on managing agent performance and leasehold management, you’ll oversee relationships with our external agents to make sure every contract delivers on quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction. You’ll champion best practice, drive improvements, and make sure our legal, financial, and reputational interests are fully protected.

  • Overseeing the financial and safety performance of managing agents, identifying risks and driving solutions.
  • Leading continuous improvement in the way we manage and monitor third-party estates.
  • Providing expert leadership and assurance on all aspects of managing agent performance and compliance.
  • Acting as Eastlight’s subject matter expert for lease interpretation, rights, and obligations.
  • Building strong partnerships with managing agents, internal teams, and residents.
  • Ensuring service charge accuracy, transparency, and value for money.

You’ll be a confident professional with significant experience in leasehold and estate management, ideally including managing agent contract oversight. You combine a detailed understanding of leasehold legislation with a passion for delivering great service and high standards.

This is an influential role that combines commercial acumen, legal understanding, and people skills – perfect for someone who thrives on variety and responsibility.

We’re looking for an experienced and driven Managing Agent Contract Manager to join our Compliance & Estates team on a full-time, 12 month fixed-term contract basis. You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring Eastlight’s homes on third-party managed estates are safe, compliant, and deliver exceptional value and service to our residents.

  • Proven ability to interpret complex leases and challenge poor performance effectively.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Financial and commercial acumen to ensure robust scrutiny of managing agent accounts.
  • Strong knowledge of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985, Commonhold & Leasehold Reform Act 2002, and Leasehold & Freehold Reform Act 2024.
  • Membership (or working towards) of The Property Institute (TPI), RICS, or equivalent.
