The Role

Overview

Operate and maintain dual rotary drilling rigs for water wells in Pilbara.

Tasks

-Communicate and comply with client policies, ensuring safety and Ventia standards are met -Ensure the RWS Safety Management System and contract requirements are met -Effective planning of daily operations as per the bore plan and ensuring any deviations from the plan are reported and approved prior to changes being made -Use, maintain, and report on plant and equipment, including failures and damage -Assist with the training, mentoring, and development of rig staff, particularly focusing on Trainee Drillers -Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of incidents, hazards, pipe tally, operations, and safety meetings -Promote a strong safety culture, ensuring all employees and sub-contractors wear appropriate PPE -Secure long-term contracts

What You Bring

-Safe and effect insulation of water wells -Driver’s Licence (HR Open and above) -Experience within a Water Wells industry – Highly regarded -May be required to work day or night shift -Proven client relationship management skills -Dual Rotary and Reverse Circulation Rigs Experience - Highly regarded -Accurate and detailed reporting of daily activities in the daily drilling report -Class I II & III Water Well Tickets – Highly regarded -Certificate II, III, or IV in Drilling Operations -Experienced, engaged and supportive management team
