The Role

Overview

Tasks

-Safely operate collection trucks and related equipment. -Maintain accurate service records and communicate effectively with supervisors. -Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report mechanical issues promptly. -Support route optimization and assist with overtime as needed. -Follow all safety, environmental, and company policies. -Identify and handle prohibited or hazardous waste in accordance with company procedures. -Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete required reports.

What You Bring

-Ability to maintain focus and awareness while driving in high-traffic areas -Regular walking, climbing, kneeling, and lifting -Strong communication and teamwork skills -Occasional exposure to hazardous conditions with proper protective equipment provided -Experience: Minimum one year of commercial driving experience or completion of a recognized CDL training program -Frequent exposure to noise, odors, and moving vehicles -Work effectively in a noisy, fast-paced setting -Ability to safely operate collection equipment and recognize disposal issues -Working knowledge of vehicle safety and maintenance procedures -Ability to perform manual labor and operate in varying environments -Education: High school diploma or GED (preferred) -License: Valid Class 3 driver’s license -Physical Ability: Must meet physical demands of the position, including lifting up to 50 lbs and maneuvering in tight spaces -Outdoor work in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow)
