CDM Principal Designer

Tasks

-Make clients aware of their duties -Prepare and issue the project specific Health and Safety file on completion -Liaise with Designers to compile a Design Risk Management schedule -Promote and manage clear communication between project duty holders with respect to coordination of outputs and management of health and safety issues at all project stages -Support Ridge designers and project managers with specialist CDM advice -Carry out H&S specific design reviews throughout the design and construction phases of a project -Collate pre-construction information and identify how any information gaps will be resolved -Where Ridge is appointed Principal Designer, you will be the point of contact to ensure the duties are fulfilled in accordance with statutory regulatory requirements, approved code of practice and industry advice

What You Bring

-Experience in construction projects -Qualified to degree level (or equivalent) in a construction related subject with at least 3 years post qualification experience -Previous experience in delivering on multi-discipline projects -Effective self-management and time management -Good communications skills, both written and oral -Health and Safety Professional (e.g. Registered Membership of APS or IOSH) -Knowledge of other construction related health and safety regulations -Experience in Design Risk Management -A thorough knowledge of CDM2015 and associated codes of practice (L144) and general industry guidance -Experience working in a consulting environment -Understanding of common construction techniques
