Tasks

-Adopt technology scouting for trends in converter technology to generate innovative ideas for future electrolysis plants -Provide expert support regarding the application of VSC-based converter systems in large electrolysis systems and plants -Provide expert support for our commissioning and service teams with regards to VSC-based power supply systems for electrolysis -Supporting the development/ integration of innovative, competitive and reliable solutions for VSC based power converters in MW-area under consideration of the interfaces to the other power supply components (transformer, busbar system) and the requirements of the electrolyzer systems -Support Hardware-in-the-Loop testing activities with regards to VSC-based power supply systems

What You Bring

-Fluent in English, both written and spoken. German is a plus. -Willingness and pleasure to develop joint innovative solutions in interdisciplinary teams as well as willingness to travel -Sound knowledge and experience in the areas electrical power distribution, power electronics, and converter control -Long-standing experience in the field of VSC-based megawatt-scale converters (e.g., for PV, wind, BESS, and drives), including roles in commissioning, testing, product management, project execution, field service, product application, or similar -Wide knowledge of relevant global standards, regulations, and guidelines in the VSC converter domain -Master’s degree or PhD in electrical engineering, with focus on power engineering or power electronics
