Tasks

-Provides "hands-on" assistance when requested or needed by nursing staff while working in the community. -Maintains a safe and secure working environment free of objects/situations that could cause harm and/or falls to residents, families visitors and associates.* -Ensures and supports a dignified and caring atmosphere for residents, families, visitors, and associates.* -Cleans carpets and mops all floors upon request.* -Speaks to/interacts with residents showing empathy, kindness, compassion, and respect.* -Complies with attendance and call off policy.* -Follows established cleaning schedule.* -Completes daily dusting, vacuuming, sweeping and mopping of all common areas.* -Provides assistance to associates when requested or required.* -Cleans administrative offices as scheduled.* -Attends and/or participates in trainings, in-service and mandatory meetings.* -Refrains from discussing resident issues with families and visitors and refers all inquiries to immediate nursing supervisor.* -Follows established schedule for "deep cleaning" of resident rooms.* -Participates in leisure activities provided to residents as described in the activity calendar. -Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly environment for all residents.* -Serves and assist residents in the dining room at breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. -Observes and reports safety hazards immediately to supervisor.* -Responds promptly and courteously to resident's, families, and visitors requests for assistance.* -Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms.*
