Technical Engineer

Overview

Provide technical support and coordination for structural and civil engineering projects.

Tasks

-Assist in preparing material submittals, method statements, and technical proposals. -Participate in value engineering and constructability reviews to optimize design solutions. -Provide technical support to site teams during construction to resolve design and interface issues. -Liaise with local authorities and clients for design approvals and compliance documentation. -Ensure that all structural and civil works comply with relevant codes, standards, and client requirements. -Prepare and check detailed shop drawings, bar bending schedules, and as-built drawings for structural and civil elements. -Conduct site inspections and verify works are executed as per approved drawings and quality procedures. -Review and interpret structural and civil design drawings, specifications, and project documents. -Maintain records of drawings, revisions, and correspondence for project documentation. -Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure design intent is maintained during execution.

What You Bring

-Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD, ETABS, and MS Office. -Strong knowledge of UAE building codes, authority standards, and local construction practices. -Familiarity with Etihad Rail, ADNOC, or similar infrastructure projects is an advantage. -Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s degree preferred). -Minimum 5–10 years of relevant experience in the UAE construction industry. -Proven experience in infrastructure, and bridge projects. -Ability to work under pressure and deliver within tight deadlines. -Coordination experience with multidisciplinary design teams. -Familiarity with project coordination, documentation, and QA/QC procedures. -Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. -Experience with design-and-build or EPC projects. -Understanding of value engineering and cost optimization.
