Tasks

-Review and assess technical documentation, including specifications, drawings, and calculations submitted by the Engineering Contractor, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, industry best practices, and project requirements. -Provide technical support during equipment installation and commissioning phases to ensure successful implementation. -Proactively identify risks that may impact cost, schedule, quality, or safety, and develop mitigation strategies. Ensure these plans are reviewed with stakeholders and executed effectively. -Conduct supplier site visits during fabrication to monitor manufacturing progress and verify quality standards are met. -Lead the technical evaluation of supplier proposals, ensuring the selection of cost-effective and technically compliant solutions. -Identify and resolve any deviations or non-conformances from project specifications and design criteria. -Ensure that assigned equipment packages are delivered in accordance with project schedules and budgets, managing changes through established management of change (MOC) procedures. -Support the procurement and supplier selection process for mechanical equipment packages such as pumps, cooling towers, compressors, and other critical systems. -Lead all technical activities related to design, engineering, procurement support, supplier quality, commissioning, and start-up planning.

What You Bring

-In-depth knowledge of applicable Canadian mechanical codes, standards, and regulations -Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, with a proven track record on large-scale industrial projects -Experience with various types of furnaces and/or dry powder processing is a strong asset -Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required -Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline -Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng) in good standing with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO); PMP certification is considered an asset
