Tasks
-Develops and manages employee staffing, recruitment, selection, and training plans. -Determines client requirements and develops plans, specifications, drawings, instructions, cost estimates, reports, bid packages, and related documents. -Ensures each project complies with federal, state, and local environmental regulations. -Participates in professional and personal development aligned with career goals. -Engages and leads technical proposal teams or a major component of a proposal team. -Manages, plans, develops, organizes, and implements environmental investigation and remediation projects. -Carries out supervisory responsibilities, including planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating and coaching team member performance; promoting and monitoring quality assurance of services and deliverables; and coaching and mentoring. -Oversees and manages staff utilization and project profitability and collections. -Explores subject area, defines scope, selects areas for investigation, and develops novel concepts. -Acts as technical liaison within and outside VHB with responsibility to act independently regarding technical matters on environmental projects. -Leads and manages the success of SI&R revenue growth in New Jersey -Represents VHB at meetings with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to establish needs and discuss design/permitting issues.

What You Bring
-Demonstrated leadership experience -Extensive experience managing and performing preliminary assessments, site investigations, remedial investigations and remedial actions in New Jersey, including urban environments -Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills -Strong understanding of applicable New Jersey regulatory requirements -Strong business development skills with an established network of clients and potential clients -B.S. in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or Engineering. Master’s Degree preferred. -Willingness to mentor junior staff and work in a team-based atmosphere -Demonstrated experience working as a trusted advisor to clients -Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) licensure preferred -15+ years of environmental remediation experience -Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, partner, influence, consult, and collaborate with all levels within the organization -OSHA 40 hr. HAZWOPER certification and annual refresher certifications required -Self-motivated, highly organized, and detail oriented.
