The Role

Overview

Design instrumentation and control drawings, P&IDs, and related documents using AutoCAD.

Tasks

-Utilize current drafting practices and tools for completion of assigned tasks. -Assist in quality checking of drafted products for conformance with standards. -Assemble typical details to support Instrumentation and Control drawings. -Develop control panel elevation drawings. -Size flow meters and manage piping design. -Provide basic technical support for 2D schematic CAD applications. -Develop basic SCADA block diagrams. -Assist in developing instrumentation drawings, data sheets, I/O wiring diagrams, P&IDs, PDFs, and loop diagrams. -Prepare estimates and material lists with guidance from project engineers or managers.

What You Bring

-Working knowledge of P&ID CAD applications. -Experience with data management and programming is preferred. -Familiarity with CADworks P&ID and Plant 3D is preferred. -Proficiency in developing 2D Electrical and Instrumentation schematic drawings. -Experience with multiple discipline projects. -Basic understanding of fiber optic cable routing. -Background in oil and gas is advantageous. -Minimum of 3 years of experience as an instrumentation and controls designer and 5 total years in design. -Familiarity with International Society of Automation (ISA) standards. -Knowledge of basic network cabinets. -Understanding of data conversion between MicroStation and AutoCAD. -Basic understanding of instrumentation controls. -Strong proficiency in AutoCAD 2D. -Working knowledge of water, wastewater, and infrastructure design.
