Tasks

In this role you will be responsible for evaluating, recommending and implementing industry best practice, strategic procurement systems, processes and procedures in a variety of sectors on major infrastructure projects. -Procurement reporting and management information is provided in accordance with the corporate governance. -Producing appropriate procurement documentation and running an end-to-end procurement process, securing buy-in from all stakeholders, enabling the client to deliver the best prospect of success for the project to achieve its strategies are implemented operationally. -Delivering high quality services, ensuring that the procurement deliverables meet the stakeholder’s requirements. -Identifying procurement risks and ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory and sustainability requirements. -Establishing long-term strategic relationships with suppliers and ensure supplier performance and managing disputes.

What You Bring

We are looking to recruit an experienced Senior Procurement Consultant to join our team in Liverpool or Warrington on a permanent basis. -Major infrastructure project experience. -Professional qualifications and/or membership of the RICS / CIOB / CICES / CIPS or other relevant Chartered Institute are desirable and will be supported if not already attained. -Experience with standard forms of contract, including NEC suite, and Public Contract Regulations 2015 and the new Procurement Act. -Ideally HNC, HND or Degree qualified in Procurement / Quantity Surveying / Cost Management / Construction Law or similar / relevant discipline, or in some cases applicants with alternative background may be considered. -Experience working in a strategic procurement environment. -Highly developed communication skills.
