Associate Chemist - Environment Testing - 2nd Shift, Tues-Sat

Maintain and calibrate lab instruments, analyze environmental samples, ensure quality.

Tasks

-Writes SOPs as needed -Maintains instrumentation -Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate -Tunes and calibrates equipment -Trains new personnel as required -Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner -Analyzes samples -Makes calibration standards or other quality control samples -Reviews and assembles all supporting data

What You Bring

-Understands and uses appropriate computer programs and databases and other software in a Windows-based environment -Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail -Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills -Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or related field, or equivalent relevant experience in the field -Previous experience in a lab setting -Analytical Chemistry coursework -Regular attendance and punctuality -Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies -Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude -BS in Chemistry -Demonstrates and maintains awareness of technical innovations and progress in environmental field (including periodic literature examination for relative scientific information) -Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship -Reads, understands, and carries out SOPs -Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English.
