What you would be doing

  • Review work orders, invoices, timecards, and payroll to ensure accuracy and effective cash flow management.
  • Lead daily briefings, coach technicians on quality workmanship and safety, and schedule regular staff meetings.
  • Team Leadership & Management Recruit, hire, train, evaluate, and if necessary, discipline technicians and support staff. Conduct performance reviews and foster a development-focused environment.
  • Oversee dispatch coordination, manage job assignments, and support technicians on complex troubleshooting tasks.
  • Conduct quality checks, job-site reviews, and uphold service standards through regular oversight.
  • Create and manage departmental budgets, oversee P&L, and monitor service profitability.
  • Ensure timely ordering and distribution of parts and equipment.
  • Evaluate workload and schedule technicians effectively to maximize efficiency and profitability.
  • Handle escalated customer issues and complaints to maintain satisfaction and loyalty.

  • Proven leadership, conflict management, scheduling, and team development abilities.
  • 5+ years in HVAC service, including supervisory or management roles.
  • Deep understanding of HVAC systems, including controls, chillers, boilers, refrigeration, and building automation.
  • HVAC/R certifications (such as NATE, EPA-608) and manufacturer or controls training are highly valued.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Skilled in client relations and vendor coordination
  • High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary, trade school, or vocational training preferred.
