Tasks

-Regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls, and reach and grasp with hands and arms. -Direct the organized placement of concrete to proper elevations. -Regularly twist, bend, stoop, kneel and crouch to perform duties -Report to Superintendent on work progress, time, materials, and problems -Inspect work progress, equipment, and construction sites to verify that company workmanship and client-required safety protocols are being complied with. -Provide job site leadership, instruction, training, discipline and conflict resolution -Climb intermittently -Use tools to set grades on flatwork; place and finish concrete of any type -Direct pours and finishes edges of a concrete slab pour, foundation footings and walls -Run concrete crews / workers and oversee that work is done in a safe, timely and professional manner. -Order and schedule of concrete and other required materials to achieve daily production -Direct workers who spread, vibrate, screed and float concrete to ensure it is properly compacted -Conduct safety program orientation/indoctrination and ensure safety compliance -Regularly push/pull objects -Install forms, subgrade, reinforcing, wire mesh and placement of concrete per job specification. -Consult with managerial staff or other personnel to receive directions for crew and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work procedures, interpreting specifications, resolve problems

What You Bring

-Valid Driver license and satisfactory driving record -Good vision, depth perception, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus. -Detail oriented -Strong leadership ability, motivation, and supervisory skills: assigning, directing and inspecting work, rewarding or disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving conflicts -Experienced in scheduling, ordering, field supervision, safety management, quality control and budgeting of dirt operations in civil construction -Understanding of cost control, equipment operation and road/highway construction projects -Excellent hand, eye and foot coordination -Able to manage others, get jobs completed on time. -Regularly reach above shoulder level -Must be physically able to repetitively lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 50 pounds occasionally, and sometimes heavier weight. -Heavy highway construction experience -Team player – willingness to work with others -3 recent years’ experience as a working as Concrete Foreman. -Able to hear and respond to oral instructions in a noisy environment. -Excellent communication skills -High School diploma or general education degree (GED) -Intermittent walking and standing on a construction site. -Able to read and accurately interpret construction drawings, blueprints and plans. -Thorough knowledge and proven skill working with all aspects of concrete construction. -Constant physical effort, including extended standing and sitting for at least 8 hour shift -Agility, balance, and manual dexterity, as well as arm-hand steadiness
