Overview
Design interior spaces, from concept to construction docs, for adaptive reuse projects.
Key Responsibilities

Tasks
May be required to assist with support for field surveys For smaller projects may oversee all design and drawing May develop and finalize conceptual design for smaller projects May mentor the work of Junior and Intermediate Designers With Senior Designer, researches and selects fixtures and finishes to use for projects Provides detail for interior and architectural design projects Works with team to develop architectural concepts for interior and exterior repositioning and/ or adaptive projects Develops and delivers overall design and furniture packages for both interior and exterior Ensures adherence to set budget and immediately informs Senior Designer, PM and/or client of any potential variances to the budget Ensures integration into overall design Drafts technical drawings Oversees Intermediate Designer to review space plans and tackles more complicated issues Manages design budget for assigned projects Works with team to develop design ideas and create both presentation and construction drawings Assists in developing packages for larger projects Obtains cost estimates and produces final cost estimates Conducts client interviews to determine space needs and requirements; good working knowledge of Affinity program tool Provide review of engineering and landscape drawings to ensure they comply with design solution. Oversee tasks and provide feedback on work product

Advanced Adobe Creative Suite skills 5+ years’ experience in workplace design, focusing on building repositioning and adaptive re-use projects as well as corporate interiors Advanced sketching and rendering skills Working knowledge of path of travel requirements Extensive knowledge of furnishings and finishes Advanced Revit skills Extensive with the concepts of furniture layout Extensive knowledge of building systems, codes and ADA requirements Extensive knowledge of CDs and procedures Advanced architecture detailing skills Advanced knowledge of space planning Advance presentation skills Graduate of architecture or design school: equivalent experience may be substituted Extensive knowledge of design principles, workplace trends and aesthetics Our team members are collaborative, creative, professional, expert and entrepreneurial. The Designer, working under general supervision of a Senior Designer or Project Manager, provides design support primarily in project administration, presentations, concept design through design development, and contract documents.
