Field tech trainee manages solids control equipment, performs rig-ups/downs, maintenance, testing.

Tasks

-Must always abide by safety protocols set by Stage 3 as well as the Client -Will independently perform various solids control services such as air drilling, barite recovery, de-watering, floc water, fluid transfers, target lo gravity solids, cuttings drying/invert recovery, etc -May be required to work periodically in the shop to assist with various technician duties. (No Per Diem paid during this time) -You will be responsible for completing daily PJRA/JSA, inspection reports, observation reports, and checklists, as required -Must keep living quarters clean, and orderly. As well as abide by "house rules" set by Stage 3 -Will be responsible for knowing basic electrical awareness principles -Will independently perform routine maintenance services and routine electrical services on various equipment without supervision. -Will be responsible for identifying electrical issues with equipment and knowing who to call to get the equipment operational -Will input routine data into various systems including company Portal -Drying equipment -Will independently operate and maintain a variety of solids control equipment including shaker tanks, centrifuge, drying equipment, and pumps -Will attend and actively participate in daily safety meetings -Must maintain a clean and orderly work area by using a variety of pressure washing equipment

What You Bring

-Must be able to read, write and comprehend English -Must be able to use various hand and power tools to perform various maintenance tasks -Must be 18+ years of age or older -Understanding of a Safety Data Sheet and where to find the hazards -Must have the ability to problem solve, troubleshoot, and make use of time efficiently -Must have the ability to be away from home for 28 days or longer, to complete scheduled rotation (hitch) -Will have established understanding of operations process -Shaker tanks -Able to work on a Team with multiple Technicians and Field Leaders, rotational schedule that will consist of day, night and possibly a swing shift. (Hours may vary by Project) Day shift: 5:30 AM to 6:00 PM, Day shift: 5:30 AM to 6:00 PM, Swing: 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM -You will be required to wear proper PPE/FR's while working in the backyard -High School diploma, or GED equivalent -Basic Microsoft Office experience including Outlook -Prior Forklift, Excavator, or Wheel Loader experience, or Certifications, is/are preferred. Certification training will be provided prior to working on a rig -Must be able to travel by plane to various locations across the country -Will have established understanding of drilling fluid properties including drilling fluid weight, funnel viscosity, retort analysis and will perform drilling fluid analysis -Must be able to travel domestically to remote locations, in personal vehicle, and by company provided travel, throughout the United States. -Will carry valid safety certifications for various Rig Safety programs including PEC Safe Land, H2S, and CPR/First Aid -Must have reliable transportation to and from assigned rig site locations -Oil and gas experience -Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions (cold, wet, and hot) -Must be customer service oriented, learning how to use diplomacy and tact -2-year Associate's degree or technical diploma, in Technology, Electronics, or Mechanics, or similar field, is preferred -This position is contingent upon successfully passing a background check which includes running a criminal history, pre-employment drug testing (hair follicle and urine), and fit for duty physical. -Must have ability to develop professional relationships with everyone working on the rig -Must have a valid State driver's license. -Will independently operate safely, heavy machinery including an Excavator, Forklift or Wheel Loader -Heavy Equipment Experience -Ability to perform standard rig up and rig out of equipment without supervision -Basic understanding of the Severity of chemicals. -Must be mechanically inclined with comprehension for electronics -Will enhance knowledge of Environmental Services (construction, utilities) -Solid's Control Experience -Able to work 28 days on and 14 days off. (Schedule will vary by Area and Project) -Able to work a 12-hour shift, daily, including overtime -Team player who can work independently
