
Project Coordinator (Site Based)

The Role
Overview
Assist PM & site team with planning, coordination, safety, scheduling, and reporting.

Tasks
-Translate general work requirements into a prioritized plan for individual tasks and assignments -Coordinate work with other project groups to identify needs and requirements along with interfacing with other contractors and the client -Identify needs and deficiencies in the plan/schedule and communicate these to the appropriate persons -Complete detailed tracking and reporting of labour, materials, and equipment -Prepare weekly productivity reports -Resolve or report any scheduling conflicts with the client -Discover pathways for advancement within Northern Strands Group of Companies -Assist with quality assurance and management of client expectations -Participate in on-site safety meetings and be a leader of initiatives -Coordinate project personnel, materials, and equipment -Assist with preparation and execution of overall work plan and schedule

What You Bring
Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test will be required as a condition of employment. -Preference for candidates with an engineering degree or engineering technologist certification -3-5 years of experience in a related role will be considered an asset with preference for the in-field experience on mining/industrial construction sites -Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills -Ability to apply problem-solving principles to project challenges and present solutions -PMP Designation or Project Management Certification will be considered an asset -Technical background in an industrial or mining project environment -Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite -Ability to create a comprehensive schedule, administer subcontracts and contract documents -Planning, organizational, and time management skills -Familiarity with scheduling software (such as Primavera or MS Project) will be considered an asset
