Drive HGV for winter road gritting, ensuring safety & efficient traffic flow.

Tasks

-The safety of yourself and others within your team, ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety legislation and safe operation to protect member of the public -Allocation and capturing time and resource utilisation in line with operated allocation system -Attending project and work briefings as required -Carrying out vehicle checks prior to shift starting, correctly filling in defect books -Keeping records, completing all necessary paperwork, communicating, and liaising with other employees of Amey, sub-contractors, the emergency services, the police, the general public, clients and customers

What You Bring

-Good communication skills -Problem solving skills -Driving and operating vehicles/plant requiring general and specialist skills, maintaining high technical standards -Self-motivated and pro-active in terms of delivering solutions -Previous winter experience and a telehandler qualification would be preferred -A valid HGV Class 2 license, and a full Drivers CPC qualification card
