Tasks
-Lead all cost accounting and inventory management initiatives, partnering with Production and Engineering to improve ERP accuracy, track material costs, and reduce waste. -Maintain cash flow projections, oversee banking relationships, and support capital management efforts. -Oversee tax filings and planning efforts in coordination with external advisors. -Coordinate annual audits and ensure adherence to GAAP, ITAR, and other applicable financial and regulatory standards. -Monitor key performance indicators and provide regular updates to senior leadership. -Deliver actionable insights through detailed analysis of financial performance, cash flow trends, and operating metrics. -Direct the company’s day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and cash management. -Guide the annual budgeting and forecasting cycles, providing data-driven recommendations for operational efficiency and strategic growth. -Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and strengthen reporting systems across the organization. -Manage all closing activities and produce timely, accurate, and compliant financial statements. -Support executive decision-making through financial modeling, cost analysis, and long-term planning initiatives.

Summit Skilled Solutions is recruiting on behalf of a growing aerospace and defense manufacturer in NEO for a talented Controller to oversee all financial operations and reporting functions. This is a high-impact leadership role for a finance professional with strong manufacturing experience and the desire to take full ownership of the accounting process, financial analysis, and strategic financial planning for a rapidly expanding organization. -Proven experience with modern ERP systems (Acumatica, NetSuite, SAP, Infor, or equivalent). -8–12 years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including at least five years in a manufacturing leadership capacity. -Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling. -Strong technical knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting principles, and inventory control practices. -Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
