Overview
Design and develop substation engineering deliverables using AutoDesk Inventor and standards.

Tasks
-Assist in monitoring staffing levels and resource needs for projects. -Coordinate with other design group personnel to review and exchange project information necessary for design development. -Contribute to knowledge sharing, innovation, and technology by developing and communicating design standards and process improvements. -Apply basic engineering principles in developing moderately complex design concepts and deliverables. -Mentor and provide guidance to less experienced engineering technicians. -Promote quality within the project/group/section by reviewing design inputs for consistency and ensuring deliverables comply with specific codes and standards. -Perform design calculations, detailed material quantities, and estimates. -Assist with identifying key client interests and drivers, and communicate these to project team members. -Make decisions regarding deliverables and input interpretation, providing technical guidance as needed. -Use advanced applications such as modeling and design software for work performance. -Proactively provide guidance and direction by utilizing knowledge of engineering standards, systems, and document control. -Review project requirements and accurately determine the correct format and contents of required deliverables.

What You Bring
-Advanced knowledge of other engineering disciplines. -Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred. -Intermediate knowledge of procurement and contract administration. -Time management skills. -Basic knowledge of construction and constructability practices and principles. -Proficient communication skills. -Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering Design Related Technology is preferred. -Intermediate knowledge of engineering calculations and design principles. -Problem-solving abilities. -Advanced experience with AutoDesk Inventor (SDS) and physical substation design (AIS and/or GIS). -Intermediate industry knowledge and technology trends.
