General Superintendent/Construction Manager - Precast Projects

Tasks

-Review Work Plans and Assist in planning efforts and problem solving -Manage contract administration (subcontractor/field management meeting for communication) -Develop and implement a plan for project completion and turnover. -Maintain daily diary for record keeping purposes. -Initiate and attend supplementary and regular meetings for problem resolution and planning. -Organizing and presiding over regular safety meetings -Oversee and approve the monthly job cost updates And make changes based on resutls -Directly Manage a team of FLS -Maintain good client relations involving staff on site. -Maintaining a safe, organized, and clean site. -Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. -Developing and coordinating site work schedules (Daily, Weekly, Monthly) -Ensure compliance with environmental, health and safety policies, regulations, and acts. -Demonstrate leadership to all parties on site including managing field resources to complete their portion of work safely, on-time and to an acceptable standard of quality. -Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required. -Review, approve and negotiate change orders. -Recommend, where appropriate, organizational, policy and procedural or staff changes

What You Bring

-Regular, reliable attendance -10+ years of experience with on-site coordination and management of multiple subcontractors and suppliers, control of work areas and quality control on large-scale and complex projects. -Demonstrated experience in working on construction projects including problem solving and working with multiple construction crews. -Work productively and meet deadlines timely -Bachelor’s degree in related field such as construction management, engineering, or architecture. -Experience in precast prestressing concrete not required, but encouraged -Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment -10 years or more of demonstrated onsite experience of onsite coordination and management of multiple subcontractors and suppliers.
