Tasks
-Implement proactive technical monitoring of Operation Projects (across all revenue generating groups) to assure safe, efficient, and effective operations? -Develop and implement strategic goals and initiatives for the engineering department to align with the company’s overall objectives? -Review and approve engineering designs, technical documentation, and reports. -Ensure compliance with industry standards, such as NFPA, ISO, IEC, and OSHA, as well as local, state, and federal regulations. -Lead and manage the engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence to drive efficient and effective engineering operations? -Recruit, train, mentor, and develop engineering talent to build a high-performing team. -Identify risks and develop solutions for the business? -Manage engineering resources and allocate them effectively across multiple projects and programs. -Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members. -Assure effective technical approval of Vendors and solutions that support the business groups? -Drive leverage of the global technical expertise to improve North American business Safety, Longevity, and Profitability for all of the business units. This includes evaluation of hiring global talent to focus on the USA? -Act as the primary point of contact for engineering-related discussions with customers, vendors, and partners? -Collaborate with business development and sales teams to provide technical insights and support during the proposal and contract stages? -Participate in customer meetings, presentations, and site visits as required? -Provide technical support and guidance to project teams, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and customer requirements. -Serve as the technical authority and decision-maker for engineering-related activities, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations? -Promote a culture of professional growth, accountability, and knowledge-sharing within the department. -Drive technical projects to conclusion on time and within budget. -Monitor project timelines, budgets, and milestones, ensuring deliverables are met on time and within budget. -Step in to lead turn around projects and optimization projects in the organization. -Collaborate with other senior leaders to identify growth opportunities, optimize processes, and improve customer satisfaction? -Oversee the design, development, and testing of wind turbine components, systems, and solutions to meet performance, reliability, and safety standards? -Implement and maintain systems that improve business operations safety, longevity and profitability. -Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including cost reduction, performance enhancement, and technology upgrades?

What You Bring
-Proficient in engineering software tools, CAD systems, and data analysis platforms. -Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams. -Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. -Must be able to pass a physical exam and drug/alcohol screening. -Employee must be physically fit enough to free climb 300 ft multiple times a day while wearing 25+ lbs. of climbing gear and work in extreme weather conditions. -10+ years of engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role -Proven track record of leading engineering teams and managing large-scale projects. -We care about the safety and wellbeing of every one of our employees. To help ensure their safety, any employees climbing a wind turbine must use a Personal Fall Arrest System, and may not exceed the system’s maximum weight capacity of 309 lbs. This weight must include the individual, their tooling, uniform, and personal protective equipment. Based on these safety requirements and the standard weight of equipment, employees who climb wind turbines may not exceed a maximum personal body weight of 260 lbs. -Master’s degree in Engineering, or a related field is preferred. -Experience with wind turbine design, maintenance, and operations is highly preferred. -The employee must be capable of lifting and/or moving up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus because of potential work in close confines. -Strong technical expertise in wind turbine systems, including mechanical, electrical, and control systems. -Knowledge of regulatory requirements, safety standards, and industry best practices. -Excellent project management and organizational skills, with attention to detail and a focus on results. -Valid driving license (NON CDL / CDL) -Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field required). -Must be capable of rescuing team mate anywhere in tower in the event of emergency.
