Tasks

-Lead bridge inspection teams, develop inspection reports, perform load ratings and other structural calculations. -Perform Quality Control reviews for bridge inspection submissions. -Develop Quality Assurance requirements and procedures for the inspection program. -Identify business opportunities and lead marketing efforts for proposals. -Manage area bridge and tunnel inspection programs (NY/NJ) and select national bridge and tunnel projects.

What You Bring

-UAS Pilot (FAA Part 107 certification) with structural inspection experience. -NHI 130055 Safety Inspection of InService Bridges Training -NHI 130078 Inspection of Fracture Critical Steel Bridges Training -NHI 130053 Bridge Inspector Refresher Training -BS in Civil Engineering required. -This position requires physical ability to perform field inspections of inservice bridge and culvert structures, tunnel structures, highway structures, overhead sign structures, hydraulic structures, and metal traffic signal poles. Physical demands include positioning extension ladders, maneuvering small boats, driving long distances, confined space, air travel, occasionally working at night and/or on the weekend, and walking long distances on uneven surfaces. -NYSDOT Bridge Inspection Practices and Procedures Course -Must possess a valid driver's license and be willing and able to travel for multiple night stays during the week. -Must be willing to work with other disciplines (bridge design, planning, traffic control) within the office, as necessary, during inspection downtime. -Demonstrated business development and strategic planning skills. -Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Demonstrated leadership skills, communication skills, and ability to work with various multidisciplinary teams. -MS in Civil/Structural Engineering. -Candidate should expect exposure to environmental hazards, such as, but not limited to, warm and cold temperatures, water, workatheight, confined spaces, poisonous plants, snakes, ticks, spiders, and other animals encountered in the field. -American Welding Society (AWS) Certified Welding Inspector (CWI). -Project Management experience -Mobile Elevating Working Platform (MEWP) Operator Certification for scissor lifts, manlifts, and under bridge inspection vehicles (UBIV). -American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT) Certification as a Level II or III. -NHI 130110 Tunnel Safety Inspection Training. -Experience in load rating software -Experience in BMS asset management software/systems. -10+ years’ bridge/structural inspection and design experience .
