Tasks

-Provide engineering support during procurement, construction, and commissioning phases, including field inspections and troubleshooting. -Perform electrical studies such as cable ampacity, energy loss, short-circuit analysis, protection coordination, and grounding analysis. -Research new technologies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project performance and efficiency. -Conduct technical reviews and enforce quality control to maintain high standards in design and implementation. -Serve as the technical lead on projects, coordinating with internal teams, external partners, and clients to ensure technical excellence and project success. -Provide technical guidance during construction, commissioning, and troubleshooting to ensure the design intent is achieved in the field. -Prepare technical specifications for electrical equipment including transformers, switchgear, inverters, and batteries. -Ensure designs meet applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., NEC, IEEE, NFPA, NESC). -Participate in client meetings, present technical information clearly, and support proposal development with technical input. -Develop and review electrical designs for wind and battery energy storage projects, including one-line diagrams, grounding, protection schemes, and cable sizing.

What You Bring

-Experience with engineering software such as ETAP, Easypower, PSCAD, CYME, AutoCAD, or similar. -Proven experience in Microsoft Software Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) -10+ years of experience preferred in renewable energy, power systems, or a related industry. -Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering required. ABET-accredited program or equivalent required -Valid driver’s license preferred. -Up to 15% travel required. -Capable of reviewing and producing design drawings, including General Arrangements, Elevations, Cable and Conduit Plans, Grounding Plans, Physical Connection Details, and schematics. -PE or P. Eng. license required. -If working remotely must have reliable high-speed internet capabilities. -The position requires the ability to effectively multitask and manage numerous projects/tasks simultaneously, frequently within an aggressive and compressed schedule. -Must have permanent authorization to work in the United States -Strong knowledge of wind energy systems and battery energy storage systems and technologies. -Ability to perform AC & DC studies using electrical modelling software. Proficiency with electrical modeling software (e.g., ETAP, Easypower, CYME, CDEGS, or similar). -Strong written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of employees, management, and clients. -Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC), and industry standards is required. -Must be analytical, self-motivated, and possess the ability to work in a High-paced environment while maintaining a positive, enthusiastic attitude. -Ability to maintain project schedule and achieve target due dates. -Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, management, clients, and external agencies -Experience leading projects and or Teams.
