Coordinate and promote safety for tunnelling construction, inspections, training, reporting.

Tasks

-Support processes for the maintenance of first and emergency facilities at the site -Identify areas for improvement and ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented. -Assist in the delivery of Toolbox Talks on various health, safety, and wellbeing topics -Conduct regular workplace safety inspections and audits. -Participate in construction risk workshops -Develop and maintain an awareness of SHE hazards and associated risks and demonstrate a commitment to eliminate or minimise those risks -Assist in the development of Daily Pre-Starts (including delivery of key safety messaging) -Assist in the coordination and review of Safe Work Method Statements -Support in facilitating emergency response drills -Promote awareness of safety practices, policies, and procedures. -Act as a key point of contact for safety-related queries and provide guidance to staff. -Coordinate training programs for employees and contractors. -Assist in the compilation of data/evidence to facilitate timely monthly reporting -Assist senior safety resources in investigating incidents, including compilation and submission of appropriate reports

What You Bring

-Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety (desirable), Cert IV in OHS as a minimum -Flexibility in rostering to accommodate project needs (the role may include instances or weekend or night works). -Ability to effectively prioritise and manage assigned workload -Proficient with technology and digital systems -Experience in the civil or civil construction space is desirable, but not essential, candidates from other high-risk industries will be considered -Good personal time management skills -Experience within a Tier 1 or 2 company and the management of subcontractors (desirable) -Effective verbal and written communication skills
