The Role

Overview

Lead maintenance operations, ensure equipment reliability, safety, and downtime reduction.

Tasks

-Active participation in daily and weekly engineering meetings. -Manage and coordinate contractors and suppliers on-site between 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm, ensuring compliance and safety. -Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and budgets. -Develop and deliver a robust preventative maintenance schedule to minimise downtime. -Act as the first responder for breakdowns from 2:00 pm onwards — diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, or pneumatic issues. -Collaborate with Production and R&D teams to identify improvements and optimise plant performance. -Lead and support the maintenance fitter to deliver safe, high-quality, and timely maintenance outcomes. -Participate in daily engineering meetings and ensure seamless handover between shifts. -Weekly maintenance plans and contractor reconciliations. -Monitor spare parts and inventory, placing orders as needed.

What You Bring

-Reliable, well-maintained equipment that keeps production running efficiently. -Proven experience in maintenance management or supervisory roles. -Working knowledge of WHS standards, maintenance planning, and budgeting. -Computer literacy and confidence using maintenance reporting systems. -Accurate, up-to-date maintenance logs and activity reports. -Hands-on troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to problem solving. -Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems (ideally in food or FMCG manufacturing). -Strong communication and contractor management skills.
