Overview

Early‑career environmental scientist/engineer for fieldwork, data analysis & remediation design.

Tasks

-Data analysis, including preparing maps, tables, and figures; -Fieldwork such as soil and groundwater sampling, drilling and contractor oversight, construction quality assurance and oversight, and remediation system O&M; -Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed. -Preparation of technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals; and -Groundwater and soil remedy evaluation, cost estimation, design calculations, and implementation; -Aquifer testing and hydrogeologic data analyses;

What You Bring

-Regular field work and overnight travel. (required) -Experience with construction work such as plumbing, electrical, structural, geotechnical, or mechanical tasks. (valuable) -Chemical data and contaminant fate & transport evaluation; -Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering or related major. (required) -Prior internship experience in environmental consulting. (valuable) -Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to environmental remediation. (preferred) -Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and related software; AutoCAD and/or GIS. (preferred) -Technical experience in geology, geotechnical, environmental, or related disciplines. (preferred) -Excellent writing and communication skills. (required) -At least 2 years of related experience, including observation of drilling and well installation, soil sampling, groundwater sampling, and other field techniques, or equivalent combination of education and experience. (preferred) -Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing. (required) -Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required) -Environmental due diligence, regulatory compliance services, and permitting; -Advanced degree in the same. (preferred)

Benefits

-Minimum: $68,640 /year / Maximum: $104,230 /year or Minimum: $27.45 /hour / Maximum: $33.00/hour (Oakland, CA)
