The Role
Overview
Lead Indian water engineering team delivering NZ water, wastewater & stormwater projects.

Tasks
-Lead a team of young water professionals, manage project pipelines, ensure resources are available and gainfully engaged, oversee technical excellence etc. -Liaise and work closely with Sector leadership and peer groups across India and New Zealand; Act as a brand ambassador of NZ GCC within WSP in India and across geographies. -Guide, mentor and coach junior team members in technical domains and ensure professional growth of individuals within the team. -Ensure compliance with applicable standards, specifications, tolerances, safety factors and project brief. -Ensure deliveries meet and exceed expectations around Time, Cost and Quality; Design and implement Quality Assurance protocols. -Participate in and support SHEQ within their scope of duties; Promote Diversity and Inclusion.

What You Bring
-Fully Chartered Member of a professional body like CIWEM, ICE etc. or equivalent -Decisive in potentially VUCA situations, with a data-driven decision making approach. -Identifiable as the go-to expert in both theoretical and software domains. -Keen sense of digital enablement and wide understanding of prevalent digital tools like Autodesk Innovyze products for Hydraulic Modelling and BIM modelling platforms like Civil3D, Plant3D, Revit etc. -Masters Degree in Water Resource Engineering or Environmental Engineering or similar -Past experience in AU/NZ projects is preferred; should at least have experience in UK/US/ME projects -Ability to track and manage workflows and delivery timelines. -Commercial acumen for meeting business requirements. -Communication skills to convey the right messages within the team and externally. -Demonstrable aptitude as an exceptional people manager who can identify, groom and retain talent leading to the growth of a high-performing team. -Understanding and past experience of working with standards and codes in different geographies. -Hands-on expertise across common business applications like advanced MS Office, Power BI etc. -18+ years of post qualification experience including at least 5 years in leadership roles. -Past experience in AU/NZ projects is preferred; should at least have experience in overseas (UK/US/ME) Water and Wet Utilities projects. -Employment with WSP India is subject to the successful completion of a background verification (“BGV”) check conducted by a third-party agency appointed by WSP India. -Ability to work collaboratively with different stakeholders and across cross-cultural teams. -Past experience in leading teams and designing large scale water infrastructure projects in both Domestic (Indian) and Global markets.
