Tasks
-Maintain and update personal and team topographical knowledge of London, through route reviews and share information with the team as agreed and directed -Assist with scheduling assessments and examinations to meet key performance indicators as directed by the Knowledge of London Manager -Work with the Knowledge of London Manager to identify and deliver continuous improvements to the examination process, focusing on efficiency and end-to-end improvements -Support the investigation of complaints when required by the Knowledge of London Manager -Conduct examinations in a fair, open and consistent manner, recording all appearances and providing relevant feedback to candidates -Provide guidance and support to new applicants and licensed drivers through face-to-face meetings, email and written correspondence as directed by the Knowledge of London Manager -Deliver the All London and Suburban taxi driver Knowledge one-to-one examinations to ensure all applicants meet the required standard before being licensed

What You Bring
-Experience in dealing with members of the public on a regular basis (Essential) -Hold a valid driving licence and be required to drive a vehicle and /or use your private vehicle on duty (Essential) -Proficiency in the use of IT, particularly Microsoft Office applications (Essential) -Effective interviewing skills with a high degree of diplomacy and tact (Essential) -Customer Service skills (Essential) -A good level of knowledge and understanding in the provision of training and the delivery of examinations (Highly desirable) -PDF format preferred and do not include any photographs or images -An ability to work unsupervised and using own initiative (Essential) -An ability to plan, organise and prioritise work (Essential) -Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels both orally and in writing (Essential) -Proven assessment skills and an ability to make sound recommendations (Highly desirable) -Must have at least two years experience working as a licensed All London taxi driver with an unblemished driver record (Essential) -Must have passed the All London examination, have a good knowledge of the taxi trade and private hire industry and an understanding of TfL’s key objectives and strategy (Essential) -Confidence to deal patiently and effectively with potential applicants and members of the public (Essential) -Experience in working in a high-pressured working office environment (Desirable)
