Material Handler

Overview

Handles storage, movement, and inventory of materials in warehouse.

Tasks

-Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections and making operator repairs. -Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move items, or signals machine operators to move materials onto and off trucks, ships, and loading docks. -Storing and moving materials: They manage the storage, movement, and handling within a warehouse. -Receives credit-return material and supplies from production by verifying materials and supply codes, lot numbers, and quantities. -Document materials and records units delivered and the location of units. -Documents product shipment by recording units shipped. -Keeps inventory, loading areas, and materials. -Ensure orderly production and distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies where needed, and staging finished product for final distribution. -Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock, recording the location of inventory, and reporting shortages. -Loading and Unloading: They load and unload trucks, ensuring that materials are transported efficiently to and from storage areas. -Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product. -Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders. -Contributes to the orderly operation of the stock and/or materials storage area. -Maintains in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies.

What You Bring

-Ability to work in both a team environment and independently -Proficient in MS Office Excel/technology -Forklift Operator Certified (preferred) -Positive interpersonal skills and strong work ethic -Experience with operating various types of construction equipment is a plus -Multitasker, self-driven, fast-paced, and organized. -Well organized with attention to detail -Basic computer knowledge with Rental Man software experience (preferred) -Excellent communication skills -Full-time - 40 to 50 hours per week, OT as needed -Areal lift Certified (preferred)
