Tasks

Reporting to the Development Director, this pivotal role will manage the end-to-end development process across a portfolio of high-end residential and mixed-use projects in Melbourne and Brisbane. You’ll lead consultant teams, navigate complex planning pathways, and drive projects from feasibility and design through to delivery, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget and to the highest standard of quality. -Shape project outcomes with your commercial acumen and development expertise -Lead preparation of planning applications, brief consultants and liaise with authorities to secure permits -Manage the full project lifecycle from feasibility and planning through to construction and settlement -Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress and identify risks or opportunities -Manage contracts, documentation, reports and progress tracking across multiple concurrent projects -Maintain strong stakeholder relationships, from internal teams and external consultants to vendors and adjoining owners -Contribute to continuous improvement of systems, templates and development processes -Deliver landmark luxury and mixed-use developments within Kokoda’s $2.5 billion pipeline -Provide commercial insight and recommendations to optimise project value and performance -Collaborate closely with the Construction and Project Management teams throughout tender and delivery stages -Coordinate design and consultant teams to achieve planning approvals and detailed design outcomes -Prepare and maintain development programs, budgets and feasibility models in line with project objectives

What You Bring

We’re seeking an experienced and motivated Development Manager to join our Development team, based at our Cremorne Head Office. -Minimum 5 years’ experience in property development, ideally across luxury residential or mixed-use projects -Excellent communication and negotiation skills, able to influence and collaborate effectively -Willingness to travel interstate to support project delivery -Strong understanding of end-to-end development processes, from concept and planning to delivery -Sound knowledge of planning frameworks, regulatory processes and design coordination -Commercially astute and capable of identifying opportunities and managing risks -Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules and consultant teams with precision and discipline -Degree qualification in Property, Construction, Commerce, Project Management or a related field -Proactive, organised and calm under pressure, with exceptional attention to detail -Financial modelling and feasibility analysis skills (desirable)
