Tasks

-Support customer program goals and objectives: promote supplier diversity, vendor incentive programs, etc. -Introduce new incentive programs to vendors with the goal of making MasTec the partner of choice -Assist with unique projects and help drive new initiatives in market. -Central point of contact for project and market staff. Liaison between Corporate VMO, business partners, vendors, suppliers, project teams, and corporate support teams -Advocate for partners and vendors -Actively engage partners and promote mutually beneficial initiatives. -Conduct market research and help maintain pipeline of qualified candidates to meet market needs. -Provide vendors with forecast of jobs -Promote collaboration between market leaders and within the Sourcing organization. -Prepare and submit weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc reports. -Support management, field teams, and other cross-functional departments -Attend industry related trade shows and conventions. -Analyze, organize, and report on large data sets. -Provide daily, weekly, and monthly accountability in support of market vendor base. -Provide leadership and total lifecycle supplier relationship management. -Manage the vendor onboarding process with MasTec -Collaborate with the markets to reconcile vendor accounts. -Monitor purchase orders. -Work with market leaders to understand / interpret the needs of your region. -Collaborate with stakeholders to guarantee agreement on pricing, terms & conditions, and processes -Manage vendor issue escalations and follow-thru to ensure resolution -Maintain vendor scorecard with metrics, performance goals, and improvement initiatives -Recruit and vet general contractors for both wireless and fiber infrastructure builds -Provide training, ad-hoc financial analyses and reporting. -Help conduct vendor meetings and lead ongoing communications. -Source vendors for the central eastern region (TN/NC/KY/SC); understand demand-supply crew gaps and develop action plans to close those gaps -Aid Corporate VMO (Vendor Management Organization) in the proper vetting of prospect vendors and facilitate due diligence reviews. -Schedule and coordinate the mobilization of contractor resources. -Support the development, enhancement, and management of the VMO Vendor Compliance program. -Maintain integrity, impeccable action within markets and lead ethically and by example.

What You Bring

-Must have proficient computer software skills, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint and Visio -A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Managment or related field -Effective project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously -Must reside in target market - preferably TN or NC -Understanding of market dynamics and sound business judgement -Knowledgeable of state and local laws for General Contractor licensing requirements -Must have a proven track record in negotiating pricing and reducing costs. -Must have excellent presentation and communication skills -3 years' experience in Telecom supply industry preferred -Working knowledge of Oracle, QuickBase, Avetta, and other similar online industry/SaaS database supplier relationship management applications -5 years' experience in procurement/strategic sourcing -Expert organizational and planning skills; attention to detail; productive without compromising quality -Ability to travel up to 50% travel (required) -Familiarity with vendors (telecom construction) along NC/SC/TN/KY market -Must possess high ethical standards and possess an expert ability to handle confidential, sensitive and critical issues
