Tasks

-Collaborate for Success: Partner with alliance partners and manage authorized distributors to maximize coverage and growth. -Stay Ahead: Provide customers with updates on product innovations and industry trends; represent Badger Meter at regional trade shows and national conventions. -Own the Territory: Develop and execute a strategic plan to penetrate new markets and expand existing accounts. -Be a Hunter: Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through frequent, targeted visits and relationship-building. -Influence & Negotiate: Secure multi-million-dollar contracts by presenting compelling solutions and negotiating terms within authorized limits. -Report & Analyze: Deliver accurate territory reports, competitive intelligence, and market insights using CRM tools to inform strategy and decision-making. -Drive Sales Growth: Achieve and exceed sales targets for municipal and utility products, including Residential, Commercial, AMR, and AMI solutions.

What You Bring

-Proficiency in Salesforce (or similar CRM) and Microsoft Office Suite. -Advanced negotiation skills for high-value contracts. -Experience: 3+ years in account management, preferably selling to utilities or government agencies. -Mindset: Strategic thinker with a hunter mentality—driven, proactive, and results-oriented. -Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred. -Strong problem-solving ability to deliver customer-focused solutions. -Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
