Tasks

-Ensure that the quality and standards of EllisDon are maintained by the project team in all facets of our work; be an ambassador for EllisDon’s brand. -Provide day-to-day leadership role in the development of project proposals to ensure that a winning solution is developed and accurately reflected in the bid. -Develop, monitor and manage the budgets through the lifecycle of the projects’ pursuit and execution. -Identify and manage risk throughout the projects’ lifecycle, ensuring that financial reporting addresses risks while maintaining objectivity. -Champion and deliver successful projects through effective leadership, inspiration and support of the project teams. -Direct and manage consultants and contractors to ensure that all project commitments, milestones and deliverables are monitored and met.

What You Bring

-Ability to travel to multiple projects within a 4 hour radius. -Design-build experience is desired, IPD or Alliance experience is an asset. -A solid knowledge of ICI construction and experience delivering capital projects valued in excess of $150M. -Intelligent, lateral thinker with the ability to identify solutions to complex problems and a bias for action. -Professional Engineer designation and/or MBA considered an asset. -A comprehensive understanding of contract law and deep experience in resolving complex commercial issues. -Highly developed project management skills including financial reporting, scheduling, and quality management. -Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex issues in a clear and concise manner. -B.Sc in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or applicable academic and work experience. -Strong analytical skills and an ability to understand details while leading and managing through others.
