Overview

Design and support municipal water, wastewater, and stormwater projects in New England

Tasks

-Assisting in the development of plans, specifications, and cost estimates. -Participating in planning, cost development and management, and scheduling for assigned projects and tasks. -Coordinating project assignments with those of other engineers and technicians within the local and regional water group. -Collaborating and working with a multi-disciplinary team in the delivery of water, wastewater, and stormwater design projects. -Technical writing, reviewing, and providing clear, concise input to investigations, memorandums, or solutions reports. -Completing civil design calculations for a variety of projects, sketches, technical comparisons, and similar technical work as required by each assignment. -Participating in professional organizations for marketing, industry recognition, networking, and building the Jacobs brand. What You Bring

-At least 3 years of consulting experience for water and wastewater clients. -Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or other related engineering discipline, is required. -Professional Engineer license, or the ability to obtain within one year. -Experience managing deliverables to scope, schedule and budget. -Self-motivated, initiator; demonstrated through professional society involvements or related activities. -Experience providing services during construction. -Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. -Experience in AutoCAD and ESRIArcGIS is required. -Master’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or equivalent. -Working knowledge and understanding of local and state design codes and standards. - Proficient knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). -Demonstrated understanding of water and wastewater conveyance and/or treatment processes and technologies, master planning and condition assessments. -Strong communication skills both verbal and written. -Willingness to learn Jacobs’ proprietary tools. -Experience in serving various clients involving a wide variety of fields including drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater conveyance systems.
