Lead hazardous materials assessments, sampling, and remediation project management.

Tasks

-Preparing proposals; and assisting with writing technical reports and work plans -Conducting Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments consistent with ASTM standards -Mentoring junior staff in daily tasks, professional development and workload management. -Managing analytical data (tabulation, QA/QC and evaluation of data) -Collecting samples for field screening and/or laboratory analysis (air, soil, groundwater, water and building materials), -Overseeing remediation and abatement -Responding to releases of oil and hazardous materials -Performing project planning and staffing assignments.

What You Bring

-Ability to handle flexible work load -Experience working in field setting (sample collection, construction oversight) -Massachusetts and Connecticut Asbestos Inspector Licenses -Hazardous Building Materials assessment including multi-media sampling -Strong communication skills and excellent written skills -Ability to wear a respirator, safety harness and other safety equipment as needed -Work well with multiple staff members across different experience levels -10 to 12 years of experience -Some travel will be required to conduct field work (Valid driver’s license is required) -A positive attitude and able to communicate effectively with others -Experience conducting inspections & sampling for asbestos-containing building materials -Asbestos Designer license preferred but not required -Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, sustainability or field/construction safety
