The Role

Overview

Design and support utility-scale high‑voltage substations for AECOM.

What You Bring

-Familiar with applicable codes and standards (IEEE, ANSI, NESC). -Ability to manage time and workload effectively, which includes planning, organizing, and prioritizing with attention to details. -Experience with high voltage substation design -Strong familiarity with the NEC and National Electrical Safety Code -Knowledge of construction practices and constructability -Effective verbal communication and technical writing skills. -Good knowledge of the industry and technology trends specific to substations. -Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.) a must. -Experience with proposal writing and project estimating. -Working knowledge of scheduling and project controls processes. -Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education -Superior Verbal & Written Communications -Professional engineering license or ability to obtain one within 2 years of hire. -Ability to use sound engineering judgment. -EIT Certification -Proficient in use of AutoCAD and/or Bentley Microstation -Ability to pay close attention to detail and check the quality of own and others’ work.
