BESS Advisory Consultant

Overview

Provide client advisory on battery storage projects, including due diligence and owners engineering.

Key Responsibilities

Tasks

-Identify and communicate relevant technological developments or regulatory changes which may impact the business or provide new opportunities -Work with clients to identify their requirements and key points of contact -Contract specification review and preparation -Ensuring that appropriate contracts are agreed with clients and time and cost is accounted for appropriately within the business -Work with all internal stakeholders, and any sub-contractors -Attending client meetings and undertaking site visits within the UK and globally -Managing budgets and project costs -Prepare & deliver presentations and reports for Asset Management team and/or clients -Responsibility for the financial performance of any projects managed -Planning and organising -Ensure project deliverables stay on time, on target, and on budget -Ensure the quality of work meets clients’ expectations -Mentor and support less experienced team members -Supporting the development of proposals to secure new work

What You Bring

-Previous demonstrable experience in performing owners engineering, due diligence, technical advisory and/or consultancy activities in the BESS energy field -Strong commercial and contractual awareness -Established network of contacts within the renewables industry -Proficiency in other language(s) -Experience in the renewables industry in a technical consulting capacity -Understanding of commercial aspects of renewable energy infrastructure projects (including project finance) -Valid driving licence for use within UK -Degree or equivalent experience in an Engineering or relevant Business / Commercial discipline -Willingness to travel -Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks -Client facing experience in a consultancy role -Understanding of technical aspects of renewable energy infrastructure projects -Similar consultancy or in-field experience with battery storage systems -Competent user of Microsoft Office365 products -Attention to Detail -Proven ability to produce clear written reports and communicate verbally in English -Knowledge of battery energy storage systems
