Acuity

The Role

Overview

Lead architecture and integration of PLM and product engineering systems

Key Responsibilities

  • data integration
  • monitoring tools
  • generative ai
  • devops automation
  • cad integration
  • api development

Tasks

-Build seamless product data flows between engineering (PLM), commerce (PIM), Integration (ex, MuleSoft), ERP, MDM, and customer-facing applications. -Incorporate monitoring and analytics tools (e.g., Grafana, ElasticSearch, Power BI) to support operational transparency and product data service reliability. -Explore and apply Generative AI to accelerate attribute creation, component matching, and intelligent product metadata transformation. -Implement DevOps automation, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure provisioning (IaC), and deployment strategies. -Enable end-to-end integration between CAD/EDA tools (e.g., Altium, SolidWorks, PTC Creo) and PLM platforms to support design traceability and digital thread workflows. -Partner with security, data governance, and business stakeholders to enforce standards, ensure compliance, and support scalable innovation. -Perform duties with minimal supervision, manage multiple priorities effectively, and delegate tasks as needed. Guide other engineers and inspire team members to achieve individual and team goals. -Lead the organization to design, develop & deploy Generative AI applications, integrating with various enterprise-grade semantic search across document repositories. -Drive integration architecture using MuleSoft, RESTful APIs, or similar platforms to ensure robust, secure connectivity across systems. -Serve as an advisor and thought leader across product and engineering domains, enabling teams to execute efficiently on complex data and system requirements. -Establish and standardize processes for creating, managing, and distributing high-quality Product Master Data. -Define standards for architecture documentation using modeling tools, methods, and industry best practices – C4 models, etc. -Lead the selection, integration, and governance strategy for Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) platforms that support the global product engineering team, product catalog syndication, and attribute enrichment. -Design and evolve scalable architecture for managing multi-level products, configurable products, and engineering hierarchies within PLM systems (e.g., PTC Windchill) and PIM systems. -Build high-performance RESTful APIs and streaming microservices for real-time data processing and distribution. -Serve as the key point of contact & solution architect for the product engineering domain - across all product areas, including Parts & Components, Product Catalog, Bills of Materials (BoMs), CAD integrations, and Product Master Data (PIM).
